Autism Light Poem

Autism Light
They are everywhere I look.
On YouTube and Twitter,
Google+ and Facebook,
Email and Blogger.

They are everywhere I am.
Worrying at a clinic,
Struggling with a program,
Hearing beautiful music.

They are everywhere I can't be.
In a research lab or a classroom,
In a distant culture and country,
On stage or in a board-room.

These are the ones who fight
For what should and can be.
They are an Autism Light.
So gifted, wise and timely.

On days when I feel down and sad.
I read about these diverse heroes.
And find courage to be a special dad.
Joy and hope takes away the sorrows.
